Triggers are automatic activations for your scenarios. Kirio supports multiple trigger sources from simple to complex schedules, events and many others.

Creating a celestial or astronomical schedule for automatic execution is very easy: Set when you'd like a scenario to run and Kirio will execute it automatically.

Execution does not require your app to be connected; it is stored in your Kirio!

Step-by-step guide

  1. Before adding a schedule to any scenario, create a simple scenario first.
  2. To edit a scenario, tap and hold the tile, then select the pencil icon to edit the scenario.
  3. Tap on the Triggers tab and tap Add to add a new trigger.
  4. Tap on to add a new trigger source and select Schedule.
  5. On the Scenarios page, tap on the scenario tile.
  6. In Schedule, select a start date and time for the schedule.
  7. Chose a Repeat frequency. If the pre-created one do not fit your special requirements, you can try the Custom entry .
  8. Chose a date to stop the repetition under End Repeat or allow the schedule to repeat forever.
  9. Tap on Add.
  10. If you'd like to add another separate schedule, tap on Add under Scenario triggers for a new trigger like Trigger 2, or Trigger 3....

Each trigger section (e.g. Trigger 1) requires that every trigger listed under it must occur together in order for the scenario to execute. It is similar to a logical AND. Add new trigger for Kirio to treat each as logical OR.

This layering of events, schedule, celestial and geofences triggers allow for very powerful and flexible scenario execution. Do test your triggers to make sure they fulfil your needs.

If triggers need to be stopped for a while or are not needed, simply switch them off with the Enable triggers switch.

Kirio automatically adjust for Daylight saving time and other time shifting strategies for your location. So, you do not need to adjust the time of your schedule!
